Andrew Martin Studio works with fully mechanical cameras and traditional photographic techniques. The process is slow and deliberate, shaped by time spent observing and returning to the subject. Printing is approached with the same care. The studio uses archival processes, including traditional darkroom methods such as platinum–palladium printing, chosen for their durability, extended tonal range, and matte surface. Pigment printing is used for smaller works. Natural fiber papers are selected for their resilience, texture, and surface qualities.

These methods favor materials and processes chosen for their proven longevity. Papers and printing methods are selected with the intention that the photographs endure and can be passed on across generations. From development through printing and finishing, the work is carried forward by hand.
